We are pleased to announce the third edition of the Malta Animal Honours Awards, organised by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Animal Rights, the Parliamentary Secretariat for Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Animal Rights, in collaboration with the Office of the Commissioner for Animal Welfare.
This is an opportunity to not only celebrate our four-legged and feathered friends, giving them an opportunity to shine, but also acknowledge the people involved in all aspects of creating animal welfare awareness and those that live it on a daily basis.
The public is invited to send their stories explaining why the animals and people nominated deserve to win the award they are nominated for. Nominations will be accepted up until Thursday 8th August, 2024. A board of Judges appointed by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Animal Rights will review the nominations and shortlist three candidates for each category. These will then go to a public vote, and the most popular nominee will be the winner of the category.
Short-listed animals and their respective caregivers will be invited together with the nominated people to attend the awards ceremony.
